Ask Mary Elle: How Do I Maintain Healthy Energy Levels?
April 10, 2025
Question: How do you maintain your energy levels?
Answer: You know that "afternoon slump" feeling? I used to battle it daily—until I figured out how to fuel my body for all-day energy. Instead of relying on caffeine or quick fixes, I focus on long-lasting energy strategies that keep me strong and focused!
✔ Start the Day with Protein & Nutrients
Skipping breakfast is a no-go for me. I always start my day with Daily Energy Multiple Vitamin and Daily Protein Plus to keep my blood sugar stable and my metabolism humming.
✔ Support My Mitochondria
Mitochondria are the tiny powerhouses in our cells that produce energy. As we age, they slow down, so I take Super CoQ10 Ubiquinol and PQQ to keep them firing at full speed.
✔ Move Daily (Even When I Don’t Feel Like It!)
Exercise gives me energy, not the other way around! A quick walk, some yoga, or even stretching helps me shake off fatigue and reset my focus.
✔ Hydration & Electrolytes
If I'm feeling sluggish, I check in with my water intake. In addition to drinking water throughout the day and warm lemon water in the morning, supplements help with hydration as well! The magnesium in Muscle Mag and trace minerals in Daily Bone Xcel keep me hydrated at the cellular level, supporting all-day, even-keeled energy.
✔ Take Breaks & Get Outside
When I feel tired, I step away and get some fresh air. A few minutes of movement outside can instantly reset my energy and mood.
The key to sustained energy? Nourish your body, move consistently, and give your mitochondria the support they need. When you fuel yourself the right way, you'll feel energized—not just for today, but for years to come!
