Top Selling Antipsychotic Medications Cause Loss of Brain Volume
March 5, 2011

Yes, these drugs are super expensive and are bankrupting states and driving up the cost of needed healthcare for everyone. Yes, they are given to children, the elderly, and depressed patients for behavior modification and symptom suppression. These uses were never approved by the FDA. Yes, they cause obesity, heart disease, and diabetes. And yes, we now find out they actually cause the brain to shrink1 – the lobotomy of the 21st Century.
This is state-of-the-art Western medicine – a subject that is morally bankrupt and horrifically inept when its practices center around the use of almost any drug on an ongoing basis. Where are the results of truly improved health? This really isn’t very funny. There should be a lot of Big Pharma execs and doctors paid to promote these antipsychotic drugs in jail. That is where they belong. They have broken plenty of laws to make this absurd class of medication the top seller in America.
I don’t even know what to say about all the really stupid doctors that over-prescribe this class of medication for behavior modification and symptom management – except that they are really stupid. The only concern the FDA and HHS have is trying to figure out how to redistribute money from people that still have any to cover the cost of this horrendous fraud. What is our country coming to?
