How It Works
How It Works
Vitamin K Complex is a full-spectrum vitamin K supplement. It combines vitamin K1 and two biologically active forms of vitamin K2 (MK-4 and MK-7). These forms work synergistically in the body. They have distinct bio-activities and each provide unique benefits.*
Vitamin K2 is needed throughout the body to activate vitamin K-dependent proteins, which help get calcium to where it's needed and prevent it from depositing where it shouldn’t be.*
Taking daily ensures you’re getting enough of this essential vitamin for cardiovascular health, bones, and mitochondrial energy production.*
Bone Strength
Vitamin K is shown to help maintain bone density and strength. It is essential for the absorption of calcium into bones. Vitamin K2 also activates bone building cells called osteoblasts and inhibits bone break-down cells called osteoclasts. This facilitates the natural balance of bone remodeling to maintain bone strength.*
Arterial Health
Vitamin K2 activates a protein called matrix GLa which transports calcium out of soft tissues, including arteries. This promotes better arterial flexibility and function. Individuals with higher vitamin K2 intake have been shown to have better cardiovascular health.*
Vitamin K for Optimum Health
Vitamin K is also important for kidney health, pancreas health, energy production, immunity, and metabolism. Supplementing with Vitamin K Complex is a great way to ensure you're getting enough of this important vitamin for vitality and wellness.*
Metabolism and Weight Management: In a 2017 study, 180 mcg per day of vitamin K2 was given to postmenopausal women for three years. Those with higher vitamin K levels experienced loss of abdominal and visceral fat.*
Blood Sugar Health: The pancreas is a storehouse of vitamin K2. Research shows that just 10 mcg of vitamin K2 per day helps support healthy blood sugar metabolism.*
Kidney Health: Vitamin K2 helps keep blood vessels going to and inside kidneys flexible and pliable, which support kidney filtration.*
Energy and Mitochondria: Vitamin K2 plays a key part in the production of energy as it is needed to carry electrons in the mitochondrial transport chain.*
Brain and Memory: A 2013 study on adults 70-85 years of age without cognitive concerns showed that those who had higher vitamin K had better memory and verbal recall.*
Immune Health: Vitamin K2 as MK-7 is shown to modulate several immune compounds like TNF-a and IL-1.*
Antioxidant and Cell Clean-Up: Vitamin K1 and K2 act as powerful antioxidants that protect cell membranes and nerves. Vitamin K is also shown to help the process of apoptosis, or cellular clean-up.*
Children's Health: Infants and children need vitamin K, too! If your child's diet lacks green leafy vegetables and proteins, supplementation a good idea. Vitamin K1 and K2 are also in Super Mini Multi.*
Vitamin K is also in Bone & Joint Helper, Daily Bone Xcel, Vitamin D3 + K2, and Daily Builder. Vitamin K Complex contains the highest amount of vitamin K per capsule.

Its good for my bones.
You likely have heard about Vitamin K due to its association with blood clotting. But, there are two primary forms: K1 and K2. They act in such different ways that some experts think they shouldn’t even be grouped under the same name.Vitamin K2 has incredible benefits that are missing from just K1. This includes enhancing heart and bone health, increasing exercise performance, and, the most interesting, anti-aging properties. Unfortunately, getting K2 naturally can be difficult, unless you eat foods like natto (fermented soy), organ meats, and egg yolks consistently. This formula is good because you get K1, as well as two forms of K2. So, you can be assured you’re getting all that you need in one capsule.I’m not too familiar with this company, but I like a lot about them from what I've read. They have an established business since 1985, they use GMP facilities, and they batch test for purity. No word on if this is third party testing, but it’s better than nothing! So, this is a good formula from what seems like a trustworthy company. Also, remember Vitamin K is fat soluble, so take it with food that is high in fat.
Vitamin K is an important nutrient. It is vital for various functions in the body. Different forms of K do very different things. Vitamin K1 is essential for blood coagulation. It is found in green, leafy vegetables.K2 comes in a variety of forms (including MK-4 and MK-7, included here). K2 is responsible for seeing that calcium goes where it is supposed to in the body. It helps ensure calcium ends up in the bones and not in the arteries where it can cause heart issues. Both forms can be helpful, but for different reasons. It is important to take vitamin K with fat or a meal since it is fat-soluble.This brand claims GMP status as well as testing their products by batch. This is a good sign of quality.
Interestingly enough, most people not only have never heard of vitamin K, but even when they do, they have no idea what Vitamin K is good for or what it does for your body and, how important its role is for the functioning of various parts of your body.I decided that I needed to start taking Vitamin K because, as most of us know, at least, here in the U.S., we are sorely deficient in many if not most vitamins and minerals. No thanks to our terrible diets and lazy eating habits, such as visiting fast food establishments which lack most of the healthy foods that contain the necessary vitamins and minerals our bodies need every day. Vitamin K being one of those extremely important vitamins.Wellness Resources is on source for getting your daily suppliment of Vitamin K. I've been taking this vitamin for a few weeks now and, although I can't say for sure that it's helping me, I think I'm actually feeling a difference in how I feel on a physical level. You'll have to try them yourselves, but first, talk to a nutritionist and get a blood panel done first before you start any suppliments or minerals. That's what I did, and I believe that it has helped me to get a better grip on how I should be taking care of my body.
I like that Wellness Resources has been in business since 1985. And on this product listing page they claim that this product is GMP and manufactured in the USA. While I do believe that is true, I wish they would put those claims on the bottle itself. But unfortunately they do not. Putting those logos on the bottle would give the consumer more confidence in the product. The capsules are an easy to swallow size and the K2 (MK-4/7) included in these capsules seems to be of good quality. It is common to take calcium and vitamin D3 along with vitamin K but I don't mind that these aren't included in these capsules. I find it easier to control the dosages that I want when I take my vitamins and supplements separately.Vitamin K can help the blood clot. Also, you need to be careful not to take too much vitamin K if you have kidney disease. As with any supplement, if you have any medical conditions you should check with your doctor and/or do your own research into possible side effects or drug interactions before you take this supplement.
