Curb Appetite with Pine Nut Oil Capsules
Korean pine nut oil contains a unique fatty acid called pinolenic acid, a cousin of the essential fatty acid, GLA. Research shows that pinolenic acid helps to reduce appetite by raising two important anti-hunger signals, CCK-8 (cholecystokinin) and GLP-1 (glucagon like peptide-1), by at least 60 percent. These signals were elevated within 30 minutes of ingesting 3 grams of the oil (equivalent to 3 of our capsules), and resulted in a 29 percent reduction in the desire to eat.
Korean pine nut oil was shown to produce the largest amount of CCK-8 release when compared to Italian stone pine nuts and other fatty acids. It also contains the highest amount of pinolenic acid.*
Pine nuts and pine nut oil have a long history of modulating appetite and boosting energy. Its use dates back to Greek and Roman times. Siberians, during the long winters where food was often scarce, have used pine nuts or a tablespoon of pine nut oil either with a meal or in some cases to replace a meal, as it is known in this culture to produce a long lasting feeling of fullness.*
Feeling more satisfied on less food is critical to maintaining a healthy weight management plan and training oneself to eat smaller portions. Pine Nut Oil can be taken before any meal to help balance appetite signals and the full feeling. It may also be taken a half hour or more prior to eating your largest meal of the day.*
Pine Nut Oil Soothes Digestive Tract
Pine Nut Oil is also beneficial to nourish and soothe the digestive tract. Pine nut oil naturally raises CCK-8, which in turn reduces the impact of the bacterial toxin LPS (Lipopolysaccharide) in the digestive tract. Pine Nut Oil has been traditionally used to help a variety of digestive issues.*
Research has shown that pine nut oil supports the liver's function of processing fats, including cholesterol. It has also been shown to help reduce fatty liver build-up and improve brown adipose tissue (fat cell) health.*
Energy and Brain Health
Pine nut oil is also a rich source of sphingolipids, a type of fatty nutrient that makes up cell membranes and helps regulate metabolic signaling, including the ability of a cell to tolerate stress. Sphingolipids are especially important to the health of nerve cells, indicating that pine nut oil is a good brain food. Many people notice better brain energy when taking pine nut oil.*
Antioxidant Properties of Korean Pine Nut Oil
Korean Pine Nut Oil has antioxidant properties and therefore supports the synergistic function of other dietary antioxidants such as vitamins A, C, and E.* As a unique isomer of GLA, it falls into the category of essential fatty acids. However, its structure is unlike any other essential fatty acid and it clearly has unique properties. At the top of its list is the ability to help suppress appetite, thereby helping individuals reduce unneeded food intake.*
