Help! Heavy Menstrual Cycle

My daughter is experiencing a lot of difficulties with her menstrual cycle. She is 19 and has had very heavy periods, menstrual cramping that prevented her from going to classes, and experiences mood changes and breast tenderness the week before the cycle. Do you have any suggestions?

The symptoms that are listed above may be a reflection of an imbalance with the progesterone and estrogen hormones. They may also be worsened if there is any thyroid distress or anemias present. Daily Energy Multiple Vitamin, Female Plus, Black Currant Oil, and Blood Builder would be basic supplements to work with. Additional products that may be added in to provide greater support include Iosol Iodine for breast tenderness, Daily Balancer and Fiber Helper to assist in removing the non-beneficial estrogens out of the body. Additional B Vitamins are frequently helpful as is getting adequate minerals and protein, such as the Coral Calcium and Daily Protein. These later products will help the body deal with the energy demands and mood challenges that are frequent challenges of the menstrual cycle.
