
Leptin-Weight Problems and Heart Attack: Bad Combination

Researchers measured the leptin levels in heart attack patients and found that those with the highest levels of leptin were the most non-responsive to therapies designed to thin the blood. This is consistent with a building body of knowledge that leptin problems cause blood cells to stick together and are a primary risk factor for developing cardiovascular disease.
