Monday, August 06, 2007  -  Byron Richards, CCN

Researchers measured the leptin levels in heart attack patients and found that those with the highest levels of leptin were the most non-responsive to therapies designed to thin the blood.  This is consistent with a building body of knowledge that leptin problems cause blood cells to stick together and are a primary risk factor for developing cardiovascular disease.

In addition to diet and exercise, nutrients that support heart health and leptin management play a crucial role in natural support for heart and circulatory health.  Weight loss to restore proper leptin function is vital.
