The water-soluble branded extract of cinnamon known as Cinnulin PF1 continues to build an impressive body of science showing how the nutrient assists healthy blood sugar metabolism. A new animal study shows that daily intake of Cinnulin PF was able to offset the metabolic stress of a high fructose diet that is used in experimental situations to produce insulin resistance. After 8 weeks the animals did not develop insulin resistance; rather they had reduced levels of blood sugar, insulin, triglycerides, and total cholesterol.
