Bad Breath more Common in Overweight People

Researchers at Tel Aviv University are the first to identify a link between bad breath and being overweight.  Alcohol intake was also a problem.  While it is well known that poor dental hygiene is a typical factor in bad breath, it can now be understood that poor metabolism and/or poor digestive health may be large factors in this issue.

The researchers also noted that many in the study did not know they had bad breath, a common problem that apparently has millions worried about the issue.  A simple self test can help, lick the top of your right hand and let it dry for a minute or two.  Then compare the smell of the top of your right hand to the top of your left hand.  You’ll get the idea.

The air you breathe out is the “exhaust system” of your metabolic activity.  Overweight individuals are not able to efficiently burn fuel, resulting in too much “black smoke” coming out the exhaust.  The Leptin Diet, exercise, and dietary supplements that support healthy metabolism (like the Leptin Control Pack) can assist cells to maintain proper function and cut down on undesirable emissions.

Your digestive tract (including your mouth) is lined with hundreds of millions of foreign cells who can ferment improperly and play a large role in bad breath.  Alcohol and refined sugar intake are typical culprits – but it is also well known that very high protein diets can be food for the foreign cells and result in problems.  Increasing fiber (like Fiber Helper) can make a huge difference in correcting poor fermentation.  Adding friendly bacteria (Super Dophilus) can also be a help.
