Skin Rejuvenator™

Skin Rejuvenator™ is a unique combination of nutrients that assist the formation of skin structure as well as providing specific anatioxidants known to help protect the skin.*

The skin has many purposes. It provides a natural barrier between the outside world and the inside environment. Various types of exposures place duress on the skin. For example, sun exposure causes melanocytes to produce melanin (the pigment that causes tanning), thus making a natural defense screen against the sun. Sun exposure is also a primary method of vitamin D production. Since fair skinned individuals don't "tan easily" their natural defense against ionizing radiation is less than others. In general too much sun exposure (burning) stresses melanocytes.

Like sun exposure, skin contact with chemicals (including those in shower water), pose a challenge to the defense system of the skin. This is because ionizing radiation and chemicals use up antioxidants that are protecting the skin, stressing skin structure and inducing wear and tear.*

Skin can also be stressed due to its role in internal body toxic elimination. If primary pathways relating to detoxification are not up to par, the skin may be used as "plan B." This is a natural function of skin. However, toxins may become lodged in the skin resulting in skin irritation and/or extra dryness. This strains the structural integrity of the skin.*

The most important factor in protecting the skin from chemical and sun-related stress is the antioxidant defense system.* Antioxidants are needed in order to "soak up" the free radicals that are generated by exposures.*

Skin Rejuvenator™ contains powerful antioxidants that are designed to deactivate a specific type of free radical known as singlet oxygen, the one that is generated by ionizing radiation of the sun.* Our product contains:

1) Lycopene – Lycopene is the first antioxidant used upon sun exposure.* It is excellent protection for the skin as well as providing general protection for other important body areas.*

2) Green Tea Polyphenols – Not only does Green Tea contain powerful antioxidants that deactivate free radicals, the polyphenols have been demonstrated to reduce chemicals from binding to skin.*

3) Grape seed extract – Our product contains a full 50 mg of the most potent grape seed extract available, containing the powerful B2-3'-o-gallate antioxidant (not in pine bark).* Cell studies show this antioxidant protects melanocytes from free radical damage.*

In addition to antioxidant protection Skin Rejuvenator™ supplies nutrients known to assist the structure of healthy skin.* In reality, these same nutrients are helpful support for any connective tissue in the body.*

Grape seed extracts actually attach themselves to weak collagen and directly strengthen it.* Grape seed extract is a rich source of oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPCs). OPCs are unique, not only acting as a potent antioxidant but also having a very strong affinity for collagen structures in the body – helping to boost the strength and integrity of collagen fibers.* Research shows they are highly attracted to the skin where they lend structural support and antioxidant protection to help skin maintain its health.*

MSM Sulfur, long coined the "beauty mineral," is highly concentrated in the proteins that form skin, hair, and nails.* Sulfur is required for the synthesis of connective tissue.* This nutrient enhances the strength of the disulfide bonds that hold collagen strands in proper form.* MSM sulfur is a unique way to boost dietary sulfur and contribute to overall body needs.* As a natural form of sulfur found in fruits and vegetables, MSM is easy to absorb (water soluble) and easy for the body to use.*

Glucosamine has been discussed extensively on the previous pages. It is a key nutrient that forms dermatan sulfates, a primary structural matrix molecule of skin tissue.*

Skin Rejuvenator™ may be used in conjunction with Hyaluronic Acid , Squalene, and/or Carnosine for comprehensive skin support.*
