PhoshpatidylSerine is the single most important building block nutrient for healthy, alive, and functional brain cells. Levels of PS in the brain determine how long stress can be tolerated. Dietary supplementation with PS can improve symptoms of decline in memory, learning, concentration, coordination, and mood.*

It is now known that the loss of memory, cognitive skills, and the ability to concentrate can deteriorate as much as 50% over the course of a lifetime in people who are otherwise healthy. It is also known that as this cognitive decline occurs there is a corresponding loss of healthy and functional nerve cells in the brain.

The FDA allows the following health claims for soy lecithin derived phosphatidylserine:
(1) Consumption of phosphatidylserine may reduce the risk of dementia in the elderly.
(2) Consumption of phosphatidylserine may reduce the risk of cognitive dysfunction in the elderly.
Very limited and preliminary scientific research suggests that phosphatidylserine may reduce the risk of cognitive dysfunction in the elderly. FDA concludes that there is little scientific evidence supporting this claim.
