Is There a Natural Health Treatment for Endometriosis?

Q:   I pray you will be able to help my daughter. She has had endometriosis since she was a teenager (now 29 years old). Her doctor is planning to have laser surgery on her uterus, which would be the 3rd surgery. I was told that my daughter may need to have a hysterectomy. I have tried to tell her not to have surgery as I believe there is a natural health option. What would you suggest?

A:   Endometriosis is caused by hormone imbalance with excess estrogen and is invariably aggravated by stress and digestive issues. All three issues must be worked on for improvement to occur. Nutrients such as Iosol Iodine (applied topically over the abdominal area), Preventor Plus, Repair plus and Progesterone Cream (1/2 tsp from day 14, to when her period starts, and applied on abdominal region) may be of help. The decision to have surgery would depend on how bad the problem is. Nutrients can often be quite helpful, and certainly an option worth trying if she is planning on having children in the future.

Menstrual Difficulties

Q:   I am a 46 year old woman and also have many menstrual difficulties, i.e. fatigue, bloating, fluid retention, breast tenderness, but I also am developing facial hair. This is really disturbing to me. What can I do to combat these?

A:   The best nutrients would be Daily Energy Multiple Vitamin, Female Plus, Thyroid Helper, Iosol Iodine, Mangosteen Plus, Black Currant Oil, and Daily Balancer. To specifically address the hormonal imbalances driving the facial hair growth, you may want add Saw Palmetto into your regime. It can be very helpful for women who develop unwanted facial hair growth.

Help! Heavy Menstrual Cycle

Q:   My daughter is experiencing a lot of difficulties with her menstrual cycle. She is 19 and has had very heavy periods, menstrual cramping that prevented her from going to classes, and experiences mood changes and breast tenderness the week before the cycle. Do you have any suggestions?

A:   The symptoms that are listed above may be a reflection of an imbalance with the progesterone and estrogen hormones. They may also be worsened if there is any thyroid distress or anemias present. Daily Energy Multiple Vitamin, Female Plus, Black Currant Oil, and Blood Builder would be basic supplements to work with. Additional products that may be added in to provide greater support include Iosol Iodine for breast tenderness, Daily Balancer and Fiber Helper to assist in removing the non-beneficial estrogens out of the body. Additional B Vitamins are frequently helpful as is getting adequate minerals and protein, such as the Coral Calcium and Daily Protein. These later products will help the body deal with the energy demands and mood challenges that are frequent challenges of the menstrual cycle.

Can Menstrual Cycles be Comfortable?

Q:   What should a woman do and what does it indicate if a woman is experiencing extremely heavy menstrual cycles, uncomfortable cramping that lasts the duration, irritability, edema in her lower legs, and breast tenderness immediately preceding her cycle and a significant drop in mood and energy immediately following and a tendency toward thicker growth of hair around the lip and chin. Is this a significant hormone imbalance? Excess estrogen? I think that women are often embarrassed to ask straight forward questions about their cycles if they seem abnormal. There is a misconception that you’re supposed to suffer when you have your period and either deal with it or medicate it. I’m wondering how you can nutritionally foster a healthier environment for your body’s reproductive functions.

A:   When given the proper nutrients, the female hormonal cycle should not be the test of endurance and mood every month. Having enough B vitamins, minerals, and good oils are the basics. Addressing the underlying issues of hormonal imbalances of estrogen and progesterone, adrenals, and thyroid stress also is an important part of healthy menstrual cycles and the demands of the body. Making sure adequate sleep, sun exposure for Vitamin D levels, good quality foods from organic sources, and stress management are imperative basic skills for good health. Use proper nutrition to address the issues if additional support is needed.

Body Aches

Q:   My body really aches on the days when storms are coming into the area or even a couple of hundred miles away. I can tell when a weather pattern is coming in a day before it hits the area. Once it hits I am fine, but before that I am miserable. What can I do?

A:   When barometric pressure is fluctuating with changing weather patterns, it can affect the various fluid systems in the body, most specifically the lymphatic system. The best nutrients to help with the aches are Immune Plus, Daily Balancer, and Repair Plus. You may also want to increase the use of nutrients that help with pain signals, inflammation, and other waste products irritating tissues. These include Hyaluronic Acid, Calcium AEP, Muscle Mag, Black Currant Oil, and Quercetin.

Iosol Iodine

Q:   Hello. I would like to know how many drops of Iosol would a person take to equal about 12 mg...".....

A:   Each drop is about 1.83 milligrams, so 12mg is roughly 6.5 drops.

Sweet Cravings!

Q:   I just feel really sluggish and am craving sweets. This started after Valentine’s Day and has worsened since Easter. I need to get back on track on before things worsen.

A:   High consumption of sugar can trigger yeast or fungal overgrowth and may manifest very insidiously with “non-descript” symptoms of fatigue, blah-ness, and sluggishness along with craving more and more sweets. Some of the best nutrients to help with this issue are LeptiSlim, Gluco Plus, GI & Muscle Helper, GI Soother, Noni Plus, Monolaurin, Pantethine, Daily Balancer and Daily Protein Plus. Each product targets different mechanisms in the gut where fungal overgrowth frequently starts. Use enough nutrients to get the energy turned back on, no cravings, and no gut symptoms, etc.

Weight Management

Q:   I have put on a few extra pounds over the winter and would like to take them off and not risk gaining them back again. Do you have any safe suggestions?

A:   An easy way to start is by incorporating the Five Rules from Byron Richards’ Mastering Leptin or The Leptin Diet Book. Follow those five principles for a healthy lifestyle, combined with some aerobic and strength training exercises. If that is still not enough and you need some extra nutritional support to get the underlying biochemistry under control then add the Leptin Control Pack at 2-3 packets per day.

Springtime Despression

Q:   I am enjoying the added daylight and warmer temps, but it seems like every year, I get a short bout of depression during March and April. Can you help?

A:   Springtime depression may be related with mold sensitivities/allergies, thyroid dysfunction, or other types of allergies but is frequently not a sign of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). SAD is quite rare in the spring and tends to happen with winter or summer seasons. If it is related to molds and allergies, you may want to try Oregano Oil, Daily Energy Multiple Vitamin, Pantethine, Quercetin, and Activator Plus. If is related to thyroid difficulties, use Daily Energy, Thyroid Helper, Iosol Iodine and DHA.

Spring Allergies

Q:   I get terrible spring allergies and am looking for natural relief without all the steroids, inhalers and other junk. Do you have any suggestions?

A:   The basic place to start with allergies is Quercetin, which acts as a natural antihistamine. General dosages range from 2-8 per day. You also want to make sure that you have proper nutrient support for the immune system and the adrenal glands as without the support allergies are frequently worse. Nutrients that help support healthy function in this area include Daily Protector, Immune Plus, Vitamin C, Pantethine, and Activator Plus.
