A meta-analysis of seven stroke studies which, also evaluated magnesium intake, has clearly shown that higher magnesium levels protect against ischemic stroke (the most common type). Flavonoid Intake Linked to Lower Cardiovascular Mortality
A study of nearly 100,000 men and women found that flavonoid intake was associated with reduced risk for cardiovascular death. One of the especially noteworthy benefits was the reduction of fatal strokes, which declined by 37 percent in adults aged 60 to 70 who consumed flavonoids. Read more...
