Vitamin E Extends Life of Alzheimer’s Patients

Friday, April 18, 2008  -  Byron Richards, CCN

A new study being reported at the American Academy of Neurology meeting in Chicago finds that 2,000 IU of vitamin E per day extended the lifespan of Alzheimer’s patients by 26%, something that no drug can do.  This means that natural vitamin E is better than anything Big Pharma has to offer, based on a 15 year study.

The sad part to this story is that Alzheimer’s researchers quit giving vitamin E in this dose to their patients back in 2004 when the American Heart Association and a troop of paid goons published ridiculous “studies” giving vitamin E a bad name.  The only purpose of this smear campaign (which has been completely proven false) was to get heart patients to take statin Class of drugs aka HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors, that are used to lower cholesterol levels by inhibiting the HMG-CoA reductase enzyme that plays a central role in liver function and cholesterol production. drugs instead of vitamins

Tocotrienols are far and away the most effective form of vitamin E for cardiovascular support and nervous system protection.
