A new study shows that individuals with the highest vitamin B61 intake had the lowest levels of inflammation. Furthermore, if you are already inflamed then you have a higher need for vitamin B6 to protect yourself. Reducing inflammation is a key concept to preserving your health and many nutrients can be of assistance. B vitamins are so important to energy production, nerves health, and stress tolerance that a shortage in them can cause fatigue and a poor mood. And now we see the problem is also linked to increased inflammation. The bottom line is that if your stress level rises or the feeling of wear and tear increases, then so should your B vitamin intake, including vitamin B6. Vitamin B6 directly protects against elevated CRP C-reactive protein. It is an acute phase protein that increases during systemic inflammation. It is a general way to assess cardiovascular disease risk. A more sensitive test for heart disease risk is hs-CRP, highly sensitive CRP. ( C-reactive protein CRP C-reactive protein. Of course, always use the co-enzyme form of vitamin B6 known as pyridoxal 5’-phosphate, as it is the form your nerves can readily use. Cheap B6 (pyridoxine HCL) has to be converted into pyridoxal 5’-phosphate before you can use it and that process actually produces a nerve irritant. The pyridoxal 5’-phosphate form of B6 has no such problem and is exactly what your body likes. Share:
