While tocotrienols are widely regarded for their cardiovascular protection it is worth noting that they are well regarded as a potent anti-cancer compound – especially the form known as gamma tocotrienol Specialized form of vitamin E. Powerful antioxidant showing positive benefits for cholesterol, cardiovascular, neurological health and cancer risk reduction..  A new mouse study shows that dietary intake of tocotrienols prevented an implanted breast cancer tumor from taking hold by preventing it from spreading and directly inducing death in the tumor cells.

The researchers also documented molecular mechanisms mouse and human breast cells, again demonstrating that gamma tocotrienol Specialized form of vitamin E. Powerful antioxidant showing positive benefits for cholesterol, cardiovascular, neurological health and cancer risk reduction. inhibits cancer cell proliferation and directly induces cancer cell death.  While these are not the first studies to show the power of tocotrienols to inhibit breast cancer, they are very detailed in documenting the precise molecular signaling involved.
