Silymarin in the War on Cancer

Saturday, July 12, 2008  -  Byron Richards, CCN

Silymarin (milk thistle) is the subject of intense scientific study relating to its ability to assist with cancer treatment.  One of the obvious problems of cancer treatment is that the drugs used are toxic, exposing vital organs like your heart and kidneys to damage that limits the treatment.  Silymarin has now been shown to drastically reduce the toxicity and damage of a potent chemo drug1

Researchers are excited because Silymarin not only guards against toxicity that limits the usefulness of drugs, it even has direct anti-cancer properties itself2, helping to knock out cancer cells while protecting healthy cells.

Cancer treatment is never an easy process.  Nutrients like Silymarin and tocotrienols can significantly increase the odds of a more successful outcome.
