Allergies in your airways, such as hay fever, can make your life miserable. A new human study shows that the popular liver herb, silymarin, can significantly reduce the signs and symptoms of allergic rhinitis. Silymarin is not an antihistamine, like quercetin, which is a common support nutrient for those with allergies. As allergens enter your bloodstream then your liver actually takes the first crack at clearing them out. If successful, problems associated with allergy will be reduced. If not successful, then allergens start forming immune complexes and these stick together and lock in an immunologic mess, manifested mostly in your airways. This study shows that silymarin, a known liver and blood cleaning herb, can help reduce the symptoms of allergy. Keep this in mind if you are having a flare up or it is one of the bad times of year for sinus/eye irritation. Share:
