EPA and DHA Boost Mental Health Scores in Healthy Adults

Study participants consumed 1.1 grams of EPA and DHA per day for 4 months. Their red blood cell concentration of these fatty acids rose 20% during this time and was associated with significant improvement on mental health testing.

This study shows that even healthy people can improve the function of their brain by regular intake of EPA and DHA. These fatty acids, especially DHA, are vital to building healthy brain cells over time and reducing inflammatory wear and tear in the brain. They are fundamental to healthy brain function.
