Energizing B Vitamins Help Stop Plaque Formation

A new study shows that healthy people can take higher levels of B vitamins to prevent the initial formation of plaque in their arteries.

It is now well recognized that elevated blood levels of the sulfur-containing amino acid homocysteine are associated with increased risk for coronary artery disease and stroke.  Homocysteine is naturally made by your liver and is then metabolized be various B vitamins such as folic acid, B12, and B6.  Thus, a lack of B vitamins is a problem for anyone as they grow older.

The normal levels for homocysteine are set at 5 – 15 micromoles per liter.  This study shows that humans whose number is 9 or more greatly benefit from folic acid, B12, and B6 to prevent the initial stages of hardening of the arteries.

This is clear proof that a high quality, high potency multiple vitamin or B complex vitamin is a great idea for anyone – not only for energy production to combat stress but also to help protect arteries as part of your cardiovascular support nutritional team.
