DHA Improves Infant Intelligence

A controlled trial with DHA-fortified infant formula shows that DHA intake is likely to result in a more intelligent child - a child with better problem solving skills.

It is very important to have brain-building nutrition present as the brain is laying down core patterns and function, as occurs in the first few years of life.  Proper nourishment of the brain enables a higher likelihood of maximizing genetic potential for intelligence.

DHA can also be taken by nursing mothers to boost the concentration of DHA in their breast milk.  Of course, taking DHA during pregnancy is also important.

It is unfortunate that in the wealthiest country in the world so many of our children start life with nutritional handicaps that set back their potential intelligence.  Fixing this problem would not be difficult if not for a government more interested in helping Big Pharma sell toxic brain stimulants to children, as well as other mood and mind altering garbage.
