Basic Vitamins Reduce Tuberculosis Recurrence

Sunday, April 27, 2008  -  Byron Richards, CCN

TB continues as an international problem.  There are only 14,000 cases per year in the U.S., disproportionately affecting those born in other countries and minorities.  A new study shows that treating TB patients1 with basic nutrients: vitamin A, B-complex, C, E, and selenium reduced the recurrence of TB by 45% - a rather stunning finding.

These types of nutrients are found in any high quality multiple vitamin.  This study highlights the importance of the key basic nutrients in fundamental immune system health – as important immune cells were found to be working much better.  Don’t leave home without them!
