Highly stressed or damage nerves pose quite a problem to health and are often seen in situations of generalized pain such as fibromyalgia Chronic pain disorder characterized by wide spread pain. Research suggests that central nervous system pain processing signals are in a state of dysfunction causing abnormal signaling. .  A new study with the nutrient acetyl-l-carnitine1 (ALC) shows that it has a protective affect on nerves, helping to reduce significant pain while keeping nerves cells alive.

ALC is known to help discharge substance P out of nerves, another important role in helping nerves to heal.
Any individual struggling with ongoing pain should consider trying ALC in doses from 1000 mg to 3000 mg per day.
