A new study published in the Annals of Internal Medicine1 shocked researchers as they found out just how bad Big Pharma massages study outcomes to fit their sales needs.  This is further proof of the tens of billions of dollars per year of blatantly fraudulent drugs sales that are not only quite dangerous but very expensive to all taxpayers.

The five drugs studied were cholesterol-lowering drugs (statins), antidepressants, antipsychotics (now given to children for behavior issues), proton-pump inhibitors (antacids that are wildly overprescribed) and vasodilators (for blood pressure).

When Big Pharma funds a clinical trial on one of these topics and actually has it published, it is positive 85% of the time.  When our government funds a clinical trial on one of these topics it is positive only 50% of the time.  This difference is statistically significant and creates a very distorted perception of the benefits of top-selling drugs.  The researchers call this discrepancy a “stunning result.”

Big Pharma is known to twist arms, ghostwrite its own studies, blacklist unfriendly researchers and universities, ignore negative findings, and simply ensure negative trial results are never published.  Big Pharma is an extreme danger to human health.  How can you trust what any doctor says about any drug when the research they are quoting is likely fraudulent or at least misleading?
